Please read these terms and conditions very carefully. Be aware that your statutory rights are not affected. When using the Kilts by Lindsay website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these terms.
Timescale for Orders
We endeavour to hall all made-to-measure items shipped to you within 6-8 weeks of placing your order online. During the busiest part of the year it can be 8-10 weeks. If delivery is likely to be beyond 10 weeks we will contact you to discuss your options.
Unfortunately delays can sometimes occur in the delivery process. Such delays may be due to situations, events, or circumstances beyond control such as recipient not being available to accept delivery, delays in transportation, acts of nature, human error, mechanical or techicnal errors and faults or due to customs clearance procedures and/or schedules at the country of delivery. It is therefore and in such cases understood that Kilts by Lindsay will be held free of all liability.
Paying for your orders
You pay the full amount for your items when you place your order.
Cancellation and Order changes
All changes to an order (on made-to-measure garments) will incur a £20 changing fee. This will apply to any change in regards to size, colour, style, cloth, cut or detail. This is in addition to the cost fo changing the garment to the new specification. We do not offer refund if an order is downgraded in specification.
If you need to cancel your order it has to be done so within 76 hours of placing the order. After this period 50% of the cost of the garment(s) has been charged and a £50 cancellation fee will apply. If for some reason the garment has not already been cut by out tailor only the cancellation fee will be charged.
If you need to cancel an order please contact us and we will do our best to help. We do not want to charge fees for no reason, we want happy clients and that is always our priority.
Paying for your orders
Once you submitted your measurements we will individually check every figure you have supplied and if a particular measurement seems unusual, we will contact you before continuing with your order. If the measurements you supply are not unusual we will take it that you have supplied the exact measurements required and your garment(s) will be made to those specifications.
It is crucial that you supply us with the correct measurements. We take no responsibility if you supply us with the measurements and the garment does not fit. We will do everything we can to assist you in this case however the cost of any alterations is the client’s responsibility.
Pleas ensure that all the information you provide is accurate in regards to names, addresses, email, phone and delivery instructions as we will not be held responsible for any errors.
Delivery Expectations
You will be notified by email at the time of dispatch that your order has been sent to you. If for any reason delivery is taking longer than expected, then please contact us and we will track your item and update you on the due delivery date.
Sizes
Our sizing is calculated using British Imperial Inches (2.54 centimetres)
Larger size garments will incur a surcharge and this will apply to the following items – Men’s Jackets, waistcoats, gillets with a chest or waist greater than 48 inches and Men’s trousers with a waist greater than 44 inches. This is simply because these garments require more fabric and hence they cost more to make. If you do not check the box to indicate a larger sized garment the order will not be processed until the correct amount has been charges. This is also likely to cause a delay in the delivery of the garments.

On occasion we will have to alter our prices. We will not be held responsible for pricing errors due to software mal-functions, human error or reasons beyond our control. We also withhold the right to alter our prices without notification.
This website operates as an ‘invitation to treat’ basis and not as an ‘offer for sale’ as a result we reserve the right to decline orders for bulk or high value purchases.

Overseas Orders
Delivery outside the UK will be charged at cost, you will be notified of the cost incurred prior to processing of your order. Any custom or import duties due when your package reaches its destination country will be your responsibility.
Payment
Payment is by VISA, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Visa Electron and Maestro. Card payments are processed by PayPal and no card details are held on our server. Full payment is required to process your order.
Data Protection and Privacy
We are registered with ICO (Reg No Z19689190E) to cover data protection. We do not pass your information to any third parties. We will not hold your credit card details on file.
